Hamptons Summer Guide to Star-Studded Wineries

If you are looking for a magical way to spend your weekend try these three great wineries in Long Island. Each has their own unique vibe that won’t leave you disappointed and you never know what “A Listers” you will spot in the star-studded Hamptons.

1. Martha Clara– 6025 Sound Avenue, Riverhead, New York, 11901
Located on the North Fork of Long Island, Martha Clara, is a family owned vineyard with a variety of sparkling, reds, whites, and rosé wines. It offers a large beautiful tasting room as well as a spacious outside patio to enjoy your beverages in a laid back atmosphere. On most days, Martha Clara offers a food truck on-site dishing out delicious treats as well as a small general store with wine appropriate provisions. Martha Clara’s property is gorgeous and it’s always enjoyable to meander through their rose garden and vineyards with a glass of wine. Tastings are under $20 per person with a choice of four to five different wines. If you are interested in lingering, we suggest heading out to the patio with a bottle of their Solstice Rosé or their Glacier’s End Riesling! Hours: Monday – Friday: 11am – 5pm, Saturday: 11am – 7pm, Sunday: 11am – 6pm

it’s a beautiful day to be out in Wine Country! ?

2. Palmer Vineyards- 5120 Sound Avenue, Riverhead, New York 11901
Just a short ride up the road from Martha Clara, Palmer Vineyards, offers a super chill atmosphere with a great selection of wines. Grab a flight in the tasting room and head out to the place to be, the outdoor patio and porch. Flights range from $17 to $13 for four tastings. Flights range from Sweets, Reds, Steel vs Oak, or Aromatics. Palmer’s offers a variety fine cheese and crackers platters but the best is their mouth-wateringly delicious wood fired pizza! It compliments any of their wines but we like to enjoy it with any of their Merlots. Put this winery on your list, it should not be missed! It’s open late on Friday night’s so make it our first stop on your way out of NYC! Hours: Sunday – Thursday: 11am-9pm, Friday: 11am-9pm, Saturday: 11am-6pm

3. Wölffer Estate Vineyards– 139 Sagg Road, Sagaponack, New York, 11962- Farmstand 3312 Montauk Highway, Sagaponack, New York, 11962
Located in Sagaponack, Wölffer Estate Vineyards is quintessential Hamptons. This winery has multiple locations including restaurants throughout the area. The most popular locations are The Estate and The Farmstand. The tasting room was beautifully remodeled, March of 2017, featuring an inviting modern look. Sitting on the terrace with their famous “Summer in a Bottle” and one of their delightful Cheese and Charcuterie Boards, ranging for $25-$35, is great for couples or a small intimate group. The atmosphere here is chic and sophisticated. Tastings include four wines and costs about $25. There is a good chance you might catch a celebrity sighting while enjoying your wines. The Real Housewives of New York have filmed there and other celebs have been seen enjoying time at The Estate. The Farmstand offers a much more casual atmosphere and is only opened from May to October daily. The best time to stop in is on Friday and Saturday to watch the sunset, enjoy live music, and unwind. Guest are invited to bring their own beach chairs and blankets and enjoy Wӧlffer’s wines and ciders by the glass and bottle. You may even run into Justin Bieber, who was recently spotted hanging out over Memorial Day weekend. The Farmstand is very popular and can get crowded quickly, so arrive early to get a great spot!
