Today on The Dr. Oz Show, two powerhouse moms came together to save their families from sugar! Daphne Oz and Hilaria Baldwin teamed up to show you how they put sugar on the sidelines without sacrificing taste.
Hilaria Baldwin, wife of actor Alec Baldwin, discussed Alec’s health and dieting with Daphne and Dr. Oz. Hilaria discussed Alec’s pre-diabetic past and the importance of finding a balance with your sugar intake and for some completely cutting out sugar from your diet. Hilaria, told Dr Oz… “You need to find some sort of balance and for some people that means completely not eating sugar. And then for some people being able to eat it not for five days and then two days being able to indulge or whatever your method is. With my children I am their mommy so they do as I say. But I want to–one of the things I’ve learned, becoming a mother and getting older is that it’s okay to have a little bit. I used to be very strict, you know, when I met Alec and he was diagnosed was pre-diabetes I was very strict with him. Every single thing he was eating I was watching. I wanted to share every single meal with him.”
In the next segment, Hilaria Baldwin, Daphne Oz and Dr. Oz shared a recipe for Almond Butter Balls a healthy snack you can take to-go that contains fiber and protein. To make them, you need Unsweetened Coconut, Honey, Hemp Seed, Almond Butter, Cocoa, Whey Protein Powder and Oatmeal.
Just throw your ingredients into a food processor or mixing bowl and roll them in the hemp or coconut. They are easy to make and they taste like fudge! The Dr. Oz crew are big fans!
